Strategy 2030: The Tourism Formula
Visit South Zealand & Møn’s strategy towards 2030 works towards balanced tourism. With a focus on businesses, residents, and visitors, efforts are targeted to ensure tourism creates local value and develops the destination responsibly.

The Tourism Formula – TiB = (Bi + Ri) x M
At the core of our formula for Tourism in Balance are Business interests plus Resident interests multiplied by Marketing.
Our tourism formula is not only about “more and more visitors.” We do not see tourism as an end in itself, but we are convinced that increased tourism helps create stronger local communities, with more job opportunities and experiences for everyone who lives here.
Our purpose and vision are tourism in balance, enriching businesses, residents, and visitors alike.
Our starting point is that tourism is a means to create positive value for local communities all year round. However, we are not blind to tourism’s potential negative impact on nature and those same communities. As with our previous strategy, The Tourism Collective, VISM works for balanced and meaningful tourism that does not compromise nature and supports a good quality of life where we live.

If you have comments or questions, we would very much like to hear from you.
We are always open and curious about feedback from both residents and businesses, because we know that dialogue makes us better. We listen carefully to all input and use it as valuable perspectives in our continued work with the Tourism Formula and balanced tourism. Send an email to info@vism.dk.
